The food at the evening meal was an absolute joy, from the spit roast. Good menu and well prepared.Very nice breakfast. The local area is great for walking, and fairly untouched.
This is not a criticism, but considering the excellent quality of the main courses, the dessert menu was limited, and probably bought in. A remote control for the tv would have been good.

Liked everything about this beautiful old building. Cosy, traditional and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was very good too. We look forward to going back to this hotel when we are next in the area.
Only down side was the restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday evening. However, there is a lovely pub and restaurant just opposite, so it didn't cause us a problem.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Lovely village. Good restaurant.
Very noisy and rickerty hotel. Sounds can be heard all over the hotel and it surprises me that they held an Elvis night there !!! No bar to speak of and the hotel is in some need of repair.

We liked the cosiness of the hotel - small but intimate. The welcome was friendly and the service excellent.
We had a wonderful evening meal - unfortunately my husband suffered the effects of food poisoning throughout the night - was very ill for 48 hours after eating.

Very friendly service. Great roast dinner, lovely village setting with two other places to have a drink.
I liked it all but it is worth mentioning it really is a very small village, no cash point or mobile phone reception which may not be for everything.

It would have been much better if Booking. com had notified the the management of our imminent arrival and not for us to have to to go to a neighbouring Hotel to ask them to ring and tell the management we were waiting outside to be let in after 350 mile journey The Hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Situated in a very pretty village only few mins drive from Canterbury.
Room was very old fashioned and needs updating! It's quite a small place and booked in for dinner on check in but we waited hour and half for our dinner and asked for a large portion salad instead of veg. However a salad garnish arrived!
